Keynote Presentation: 

Psychology has a critical role in fighting the hesitancy of people to get vaccinated. COVID-19 pandemic tended to motivation in vaccine development initiatives with mass COVID-19 vaccination to be public health top priority to eliminate the pandemic. Psychological factors for vaccination intention, highlight the variables related to positive and negative attitudes toward COVID-19 vaccination. Studies show that people's interpretations of the origin of the virus were important with the people who believe that the virus was created in the lab to be powerless and more concerned about the possible side-effects of the vaccines something negatively associated with their vaccination intention. The source of vaccine recommendation was relevant to vaccination intention with vulnerable people's vaccination intention to be highest if the vaccines were recommended by health professionals, and secondly by friends and the government, and the media (Lo et al., 2021). There must be insights into developing communication strategies to effectively promote vaccination intentions. There are psychological, social, and situational factors on intent to commit with a COVID-19 vaccine (Butter et al., 2021).

Dr. Kalliopi Megari is an experienced psychologist working in the hospital & health care industry. She is a lecturer at University of Western Macedonia in Greece. Skilled in Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Research and Learning Disabilities. Graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and attended further education from University of Macedonia, in people with special needs and disabilities. She holds undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Psychology, as well as a Master’s and a PhD in Neuropsychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has many years of experience working with chronic disease patients as well with people with disabilities. Her work has earned her many prestigious international awards. She has given lectures at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and University of Warsaw. She is postdoctoral researcher and has published more than 10 research articles in journals. She is the Global Engagement Representative of International Neuropsychological Society, secretary general and member of the Ethics Committee of Hellenic Neuropsychological Society.

Biography

I belong to the Faculty of Nursing, Ashikaga University, and am a lecturer in Pediatric Nursing. In my past clinical experience, I worked as a pediatric nurse at Kitasato University Hospital and Solaputi Kids’ Camp. I am currently completing my Master's degree in Nursing at Asahikawa Medical University and am about to complete my PhD at Gunma University, which is famous for its science and engineering. I have developed the Distracting Ingenuity Promotion Scale which is believed to help pediatric nurses support pediatric patients and their families in the healthcare setting while protecting patient rights.

My next goal is to develop and implement an effective tool, based on video projection, for the psychological outcomes of pediatric patients and their families that is needed to relieve stress in children. This WON-2022 report on pediatric nursing practice for an appropriate healthcare environment based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child focuses on the perspectives of school children.

Biography

Dr. Abdelmonem A. Hegazy is currently working as Professor of Human Biology, Anatomy and Embryology, Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Zarqa University, Jordan; Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt; & Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST), Egypt &.  

He is also a Consultant of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility.

He is the former chairman of the Anatomy and Embryology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University (Egypt); & Professor in King Saud and Majmaah Universities (KSA) 2009-2013 and Misurata, Faculty of Medicine (Libya) 2000.

Dr. Hegazy is also a referee of scientific research submitted for promotion of professors in Egyptian Universities (since 2016 till Present).

Prof Hegazy is a Global Goodwill Ambassador (GGA).

He is also an Egyptian Ambassador for International Program for Prevention of Child Abuse ‘My Body is My Body’.

He is Editor-in-Chief of the following international journals:

Dr. Hegazy is a member of Institutional Research Board (IRB) unit, Egyptian Medical Syndicate, Egyptian Society of Anatomy, and Postgraduate and Scientific Research Affairs Committee, Faculty of Medicine. His pool of academics consists of original research articles/books/book chapters in various national and international accredited publishing houses. Dr. Hegazy has plenty of scientific publications and projects with many citations. He has got many national and international honors and awards. Dr. Hegazy has been supervising post graduate students in their thesis works. He is also a well-known reviewer/referee/editorial board member in more than 150 international indexed journals.

Biography

Dr Westaway is a medical registrar working in the Acute Medical Unit of a tertiary hospital in the United Kingdom. Dr Westaway trained at the University of Oxford and has an interest in Medical Education, currently undertaking an MSc in Medical Education at University College London. He is presenting a quality improvement project which he led during his time based in an Australian quaternary Intensive Care Unit, and which has been published in Hospital Practice. The project investigated the effectiveness of patient handover at Intensive Care to ward transfer and sought to improve practice where deficiencies were identified.

Dr. Loveness Anila Nkhata is a trained Clinical Epidemiologist, Public Health Specialist and Physiotherapist. She is an academic and researcher at the University of Zambia with vast experience in innovative rehabilitation and tertiary health care. Her primary research interests and skills include systematic reviews, quasi-experimental and innovative research in women’s health, work-related musculoskeletal disorders, occupational health, epidemiology and public health. She is a seasoned editor and reviewer for peer review journals. Her current research is in contextualized interventions for spinal health among adolescents in southern African schools. The goal is to provide information and education aimed at changing unhelpful behaviours, perceptions and enhancing self-management of back pain disabilities. In her research work she aims to generate evidence that will contribute to the body of knowledge, guide policy formulation and inform clinical practice decisions in health and rehabilitation.
